Can we get an answer on PS4 PS+ requirement before the beta?

I'm not singing up for the PS4 beta because if you get the ps4 version you can no longer access the PS3 version, which is a problem if the PS4 requires you to have PS+ to do multiplayer.

Seeing as the PS4 was just released and people are now learning of the sub requirement on ps4 multiplayer, I feel that Square Enix should clear the air and definitely say whether or not we need a PS+ subscription to play FF14 on PS4.

This was answered long ago. No, you don't need it. Sony made it so the game developer(If the game runs on the developer's servers and not Sony's) can choose to require it or not, and SE is not.

All F2P/P2P games and services like Netflix will not require PS+.

I talked to the SONY Rep in my area two days ago. He said that like DCUO (and other MMOs) PS+ will NOT be required.

Only games like Call of Duty, and other Single Player games with Multiplayer Content (Killzone, Battlefield, etc) will require PS+.

Services like Netflix, HuluPlus, Twitch, etc will not require PS+.
