Lightning Strikes

Anyone else think this event is kind of just blah? I mean I like Lightning and I like the weapons but it just doesn't seem like the best way to do an event.

Not bla but events seem very short/very simple and offer gear that cannot be possibly used by higher levels..unless we use them on leveling other classes.

what do you all do with the gear and other stuff you get from these events?

I agree, very blah with a bit of wtf on the side.
Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for an event but like... seriously?

I think it's a fitting intro to the event. Not sure what anyone else was expecting.

Fitting? I bet the chapters 2 3 and 4 will be the same. Take 5 mins to do finish a fate and boom it's over with. Everything is boring. Don't be raging on me now just speaking for myself. I hope SE does more interesting things for this game make it survive as long as ff11 that's my hope.

It just takes up space in my inventory. Every single one of my classes/jobs are higher than these.

From what the description says, all the upcoming add-ons to this event are going to be no different, albeit harder fates as the level caps increase. And to top it off some people can't even get hits in the fates because it is over with be fore it starts.

That being said I do like that they are bridging some gaps between different FF worlds, it just seems like they didn't put much thought into this one.

Yes it was super dull because of the mounds of players that swarm the FATE event. :/ you barely get a chance to see lightning or her moves, maybe in a week or so it will die down and we can observe her fighting techs!

but how awesome would it be if the 4th event is a fight against Lightning and Odin as her Primal/Eidolon and it ends in the Shroud so who knows! A server wide battle against Odin and Lightning at the same time would be awesome! if only there wasn't so many people there at once, or maybe a 8 person raid or something!
