Another I love XIV but wish it had this from XI

I do love XIV ARR i even enjoyed parts of V1 . So before anyone gets all well go back to XI ( witch i never will ) i just wanted to talk about the things i wish there were in XIV from XI .

The first thing i miss is Notorious Monsters free roaming NMs that popped if you had an item to pop it at a set location or killed a set number of mobs to force pop a stronger version of the trash mob or the free roaming NM that pops every 6 , 12 , 24 ,36 hours. These are not required fights but are fun fights that could be had and even made as an achievement .

Death Penalty . I miss this because it made you try harder it made you put more effort in not dying . It Slowed level progress down a little do to loss exp on death . ( getting a 50 in less then a week is to fast ) It would be nice to add this in to slow level progression .

Weapon Skill Chains and Magic Bursts . I miss being able to link skills with other classes
and making SCs . And watching the BLM time a nice spell to MB. To bad we cant have self Limit Breaks that we can gain on our own then combine them to make even bigger LBs with others .

I wish the EGi's looked as Epic as Xis did . I understand there not the full power of the original Primals . But it would have still have been cool to have them look like smaller versions of the Primal .

Edit: Wanted to add this again . This game does not have to copy EVERYTHING from XI but it could add the things that worked well in XI just as it uses the things that work well from other MMOs ( like WoW for example witch it has )

I'm sorry, but none of these things won't ever happen. They simply won't..

Yoshi P hates XI. For three years many XI players have been clamoring for things from XI to return but they never did.

Yoshi P does not care at all about the XI player base.

Did you like everything being handed out to you? Did you like your hand being held when you played with others? Aw. Hey! Good news! The next expansion is allowing you to get a character to 90 for FREE. That'll make you happy. :) Because working hard or having content with ANY SORT of repercussions for dying is a no-no, right?

Gives you something to do while you're queueing up for duty finder as your archer. 15min + 15min =30 min, heck you might have 3 chances.

I miss Besieged, funnest thing ever.

I miss gear swaps. Not the silly idea of changing clothes in battle or writing long XML macros to make it happen. I miss the lateral progression, reason to get more types of gear, and the fact that 1 set from 1 piece of content isn't all BIS.

I thought I would like the token system used to get gear in this game.. But the 100% drop rate makes it feel like going to work.

I don't miss open claimable HNMs. Item farming for pops is good though.

I don't miss exp loss, but I don't like the fact there is no weakness if you return after death. Too many 'one DPS died to plumes everyone jump off the edge' caused by not caring about the wipe. There should be some additional reason to care other than starting over. With the way gil rains from the sky in this game gear damage doesn't actually matter.

I do miss 'going to the thing to kill' quite a bit. Going to dynamis? Tele then run to the ???. Doing a BCNM? Tele then run through a bunch of aggro to the BCNM enterance. Sky farming? Even if you tele there from a crag you still had adventuring to do to get to what you were killing, through aggro, locked doors etc.

I miss NM's too, but I do *not* miss those horrid timers on some of them lol. 15 minutes isn't a problem, 15 minutes - 6 hours IS xD. Also, to the person saying Yoshi P is against all things XI, the future Shantotto event and minion would like to talk to you...when she comes around that is :P

I didn't play XI, but as an old fan of FF's Job System, I'm looking foward to any new classes. I'm still enjoying the ones we have now, but would like to play Red Mage, Black Knight, and Dancer. I always enjoy a good fight, so NM's would be fun to me also I think, despite campers. +1 for lower pop servers.
