Queue'n for Duty Finder while FATE grinding - waiting for a DF to pop..

I really would like to have the ability to Queue solo in the Duty Finder, and still be able to participate in a FATE party.

Many times I have been in queue for over an hour as a Damage Dealer, and have been FATE grinding while waiting for my queue to pop up. But... BAM, stupid ol' me accepts a FATE group invite without thinking it through >.<!

I know it's my fault but please help out a bit and add the option to allow this. We could always give our FATE group a heads up and let them know a dungeon popped up and we will be back after it finishes to message the leader for invite if there is still room.

Fate parties are overrated. The only benefits are shared mob exp (which isn't really as much as it looks like) and the occasional shared teleport. I rarely ever group up while FATE grinding and I do just fine.

Ummm no, the group shares the contribution which determines your medal quality, hence why everyone wants a fate party.

XP is the same for a Gold medal in or out of a fate party which is then based of your characters level and if you have to sync down or if you are too low level.

What is hard is, if there is 100 people attacking a boss fates or normal fates, when you are solo, your solo contribution may only be enough to net you a bronze, where if you are grouped, that same contribution shared with the group gets you a gold.

I would rather they just make stuff that isn't FATEs give more exp so I can do that instead of FATE parties.

Coming to a patch near you...sadly it's probably not going to fix the queues for DPS for dungeons. Battle leves might become comparable to FATEs with the armoury bonus though but they are a limited resource. (and people tend to use them for crafting/gathering first)

I still have half hour queues as healer and I hate doing fates out of party. It makes it too hard to target well on PS3. :(

I don't have a problem unless the enemies won't even load from the start of the fate till the end.

When I was leveling my Monk 47-49 was in a few FATE groups complete with Black Mages and I still kept getting bronze until I learned to tag mobs more efficiently. Rest of my party was getting gold every time. So either they changed that recently or I call BS.

They've changed nothing and call it what you like, it is how it is and how I explained it is how it works.

Now if you grouped with a bunch of BLM's and they are AoEing nut cases like the rest and you are trying to single target DPS a group of mobs, your contribution is only worth a Bronze, that is why you are getting Bronze. You don't automatically get a Gold because you hit 1 mob for 1 damage in a fate group.

Spamming Arm of the Destroyer in AoE group based fates will get you a Gold in a fate group every time.

I only group in North Thalaran. In other places, as long as you're of appropriate level, Flash is more than enough.
