So I downloaded the game for the free two week trial period. Set up the Playonline, entered in the code an so on. Every time I try to start the game, that playonline thing ALWAYS comes up instead of the game. No matter what I do and I can't find the game anywhere. This becoming really frustrating. Please help.

Just to confirm, are you referring to Final Fantasy XIV or Final Fantasy XI? Because in FFXIV, you should be receiving a 30-day free trial period.
