Necessary and unnecessary lures at 50?

I just finished getting my fishing to 50 and I'm sitting on at least 20 different lures and bait types. Now I can cut that list down by dumping my left over bait since it's easy and cheap enough to grab from an npc but I'm less sure about which lures I can afford to get rid of.

I'm sitting on 10 different lures from level 20 through 44 but I'm not sure if any of them have any further use once you've hit 50 or if they've been obsoleted by later lures. Are there any lures in particular there are good to keep around or a definitive set that covers most possible bases at level 50?

Every lure and bait is still useful at level 50. You need to use different levels of things to isolate different levels of fish. For mooching, you especially want to isolate that low level fish so you catch it 100% of the time, which means hanging onto all that low level 1, 5, 10, 15, or 20 bait you thought you wouldn't need again. Same goes for all other levels. Honeyworms, for example are a godsend for isolating Silverfish, which mooch into Goldfish usually, which double mooch into a wide variety of rare fish. Stem Borers are great for isolating Common Sculpins (which otherwise are none too common) which mooch into a couple annoyingly hard-to-catch fish. Etc, etc, etc.

The great thing about lures are they have different levels than bait and don't just conform to the 1,5,15,20 progression, which means you can use them to fine-tune your catching output. Typically a given tackle will never catch a fish more than 5 levels above its level, so while a level 40 bait will still snag an unwanted level 45 fish sometimes, a level 39 lure will eliminate that fish. And lures sometimes make certain fish extremely common or uncommon, depending on the lure. Some lures attract lots of pike-type fish or trout-type fish, others go for deep fish or shallow fish. And certain special fish will only bite on specific lures and nothing else.

May I request for a lure box? Lures occupying half page of my inventory is sometimes distressing. If devs would be so kind. lol
