You know what else is possible in 2.1?

The other half of Mor Dhona and Coerthas map :P. 2.1 is essentially bringing the rest of the content back into the game.

Griffon's Crossing is blocked off ( when in 1.0 it was accessible to another area). They also would want to prep the areas for the expansion that is to come probably in a year.

You could say 2.1 is the patch that actually starts ARR ( unofficially anyways).

Could possibly see things like:

1) Hamlets
2) Chocobo Escort
3) More GC missions

What we saw here: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/pr/blog/000494.html is only a Preview. So, I am just keeping the hope alive of more exciting things to come!

I would have doubts about seeing "the other half" of mor dhona given that one of the two locations that lead in that direction instead takes you to thanalan and the other is a dead end with no evidence to suggest a zone could be put there.

Just seems weird that Mor Dhona (bottom half) turned into a part of Thanalan or the fact that it never existed x.x. At least Griffon's Crossing could still be a zone (blue line) that leads to other parts of Coerthas. ( I mean where are the other 2 Houses? I only see House of Haillenarte and House of Durendaire. The other 2 Houses aren't in the game yet.

A bunch of zone lines don't really make sense compared to the maps of 1.0. Mor Dhona to Northern Thanalan is one of them (missing south Mor Dhona/former Castrum Novum area). Coerthas to North Shroud and Mor Dhona too (missing Coerthas Eastern Lowlands and Coerthas Central Lowlands, respectively). Both of those had a "zone" worth of area in between them in 1.0 which is currently inaccessible. Here's hoping they reinsert those areas, even if it means a little more travel time.

We have like 20% of mor dhona and 10% of coerthas from 1.0. Actually all the areas like Thanalan, Black Shroud and what not are mere shells of what they were when it comes to size. Hopefully they will expand them all. The zones are way to small and the collective zones that make up an area are even dinky.

But with all the piles of fallen rocks (some of which will disappear if you angle your cam just right) and gates and invisible walls that just black you from running further give me hope the areas will grow.

btw the moogle fight was in the black shroud so that wouldn't effect these two zones anyways.

Actually, King Mog's area back in 1.0 was the West Shroud so maybe they'll re-add that zone when Mog is released. The old path to West Shroud used to be where Spriggan Dig is now. Maybe the Spriggans will excavate a path to that area again?

Also, for what it's worth, a few NPCs in Snowcloak mention that the giant ice wall that is currently there is blocking off access to Coerthas Western Highlands where one of the four houses is based (at Dusk Vigil).

That Coerthas map is exactly the same as the existing one, isn't it?
