I just finished the Fisher quests and I was disappointed it did not provide the same comedy as it did for me in 1.0.
In ARR you do not get to spend much time with Wawalago and his antics but more with his assistant Sisipu, in 1.0. you also have Sisipu to guide you but you are involved in many of Wawalago's antics.

The banter between Wawalago and Sisipu was a bit comedic, but it's kinda hard to put my finger on which story was better. In 1.0 Wawalago has you out there dancing in a subligar to attract people to the fishing hole while in ARR he starts up rumors about a sea serpent for a purpose I don't quite remember.
