Ugh, the grind...

I do not normally post of forums but, yeah, the grind in this game is getting absolutely ridiculous. Some claim that are able to quest up to 40, but I'm stuck at 35 and the only means of leveling up is grinding FATES. My time is limited, and grinding fates takes a few hours to level up (grouped) not to mention how boring it is to just wait till FATEs spawn.

I don't know how anyone finds grinding FATEs fun :confused:

FATES could be an alternative leveling system. But this game needs more quests, no doubt about it.

Take a look at this quest database on the lodestone and search in all the regions for any quests that might be in your level range.

I was leveling up my Summoner and got stuck until I found there was a camp that had a ton of quests at my level. There might just be an area you were unaware of.

Levequests and hunting logs help bunches too. I spammed dungeons for gear so i didnt ever grid fates until level 48.

Thats all good and dandy, but the problem is that quests are level-locked. There's only a very limited amount I can complete... unless I run from zone to zone trying to find quests appropriate for my level.

Searched the database, revisited several zones. All empty.

How's your Hunting Log progress? You could also knock out some Leves. Try asking your FC if anyone needs help with anything. I've gotten levels just helping my FC get through certain things.

Level 35? You should be doing Brayflox runs to maximize your gear and continue learning party mechanics.

Agreed fates are an incredibly boring grind. I have been using dungeons to lvl but with the wait time in between and some of the horrid players it usually means a longer trip lvl to lvl. I have left multiple instances because of ppl who fate grinded their jobs up and cannot play for anything. So that's another draw back of the fate system.

But just try the dungeons and hunting log system. It may take you a lil longer if you use df to get pts but at least its tons better than fates

Yeah, this game needs ALLLLOOOTTT more quests. Especially seing how we have the potential to grind every combative role to 50 on the same character.

Agreed. High level quests that refine people on playing their roles, so DF at level 50 isn't so hit or miss.

It's weird, on my main I didn't do any fates until 50. Like zero. I had to farm my pants off to get rank / GC weapon once I hit 50 (I mean I know I didn't "have" to but I wanted it). I still finished with about 20ish quests around the 40+ area for my next guy to hit. I hit a brief point around 47-48 where I couldn't continue the main quest because it was level locked, but came back.

Didn't do any leves other than the quest to unlock each tier in each zone.

I think you're missing some.
