i'm imagining what if Summoner's Limit Breaks is they r summoning the real form of the primals instead of the same with meteor as the Black Mage has (which is not really Summoner's spell)??
Level 1 LB maybe able to summon Ifrit
Level 2 LB able to summon Garuda/Titan
Level 3 LB able to summon Garuda/Titan
but it must be little bit awkward when u fight Titan but u r summoning Titan too..
just in my dream, i guess..
discussed many times before and will likely never happen due to the way jobs are grouped in certain classes and the LB is set for a certain class. Job specific LB will likely never arrive sadly...
A summoner in lore may be able to summon a meteor (via primal throwing the meteor from up high).
However I totally agree with this, we'd like different spell names and animations/graphics that deal identical damage.
A little flavor goes a long way, SE.
Especially when your class is sold on its flavor, when in reality it plays like a WoW lock + some abilities.
There's two main reasons this won't be happening.
The first is what KaosPrime said, which is that LBs are grouped into Healer, Caster and Melee. It's also why Bard uses the healer LB, since it's not a caster, and if it used the melee break that would mean it have to run up to the boss, which defeats the purpose of being an archer.
The second, and more important reason, is that in a future patch a feature will be added in which Free Companies will be able to summon primals to assist with fights.
