Aldo + Stoneskin = stack?

Hello,

I know those 2 "stack" in terms on buff icon but do they really stack?
Is there any use to put both on someone? do one "break" before the other or they break at the same time?

As a Scholar I am just wondering if I should just remove Stoneskin altogether or not.

Aldo is the boy who survived in the opening cutscene of FFXI, he grows up to be one of the main characters in the storyline.

Do you know which one sponge the damage first? Is it based on which is cast first?

I'm not 100% sure. In my experience, Adlo goes first, but that may have to do with the duration of the buff itself. In most games, shields break in order of time left (i.e. one shield is at 15 seconds left, and the other is at 45 seconds left, the shield with 15 seconds left is used up first).

aldo is an upgraded version of stoneskin and more powerful so you dont need stoneskin at all

Adlo always breaks first, which is handy being the shorter duration bubble. Its awesome to have stoneskin and Adlo as a Scholar. The number on Stoneskin isn't huge, but on a 5k HQ PLD, it's an extra 500 bubble on top of the standard 600ish bubble from Adlo, bringing you at over 1000 damage mitigated.

Its not always easy to do, but sometimes you can cast Adlo and stoneskin before a big hit, or swiftcast Stoneskin, say for Tonberry King's Grudge attack.

I used to put both on a tank before a boss but I think it's useless. Just Succor and go.

In my experience, Adloquium always breaks first, regardless of who casted it in what order. They definitely "stack", if by stack you mean that one character can have both 1 Stoneskin and 1 Adloquium on them at the same time.
