So I've been in coil for 2-3 weeks now, still working on t4, but can like everyone else doubting how there's not going to be much to do soon.
What I don't get is how they are re-tuning (read it was too hard initially) CT for DF and making it drop ilvl 80 gear.
Well since they ALREADY have a hard version of the dungeon completed, why not just release a normal(ilvl 80) and hard(ilvl 100) version in 2.1 and keep both casuals and raiders happy?
CT was announced as Tier 2 of content well before ARR was even out, and Coil as Tier 3 content.
Maybe the initial CT difficulty is not really much harder (if at all) than Coil, so it doesn't make sense for it to drop ilv 100 equipments. And SE certainly doesn't want 2 places to drop ilv 90 equips.
I'd rather just have some more difficult content, I really couldn't care less about the item level of gear it drops.
If they were to do this (and I wish they did now you've suggested it) I'd rather it just had double drops or something.
Yes Crystal Tower was to be released as progressively before coil, not after, and they pulled it because the devs though it was too hard for what it was meant for. So it's not going to be harder than coil.
