Does anyone know if SE is adding more FC functionality to the mail system? We'd love to be able to send the whole FC mail(text & items) at once and not have to have every member on our friends list separately.

I can't really answer you. But I suppose it will be not possible unless they are in your friend list.
You can't send items to your own alts because you can't add them to your friend list. So this would be a workaround if you get all your alts in the same FC.
This is a measure to counter gold farmers I believe.
Maybe if it s only txt.
