Class-story synopsis
Hello all!
After getting Scholar to 50 I am looking to make an Alt class. I am curious, what are the other class storylines like? The Arcanist storyline, followed by the Scholar was very enjoyable. Though I do believe the Arcanist was better. I am looking for just a brief synopsis, no spoilers!

archer is mostly about fitting in and overcoming racial bias through the lens of a mi'qotte archer who gets no respect and open disdain from an elezan. the bard class quests put you with an archer of great renown who has stopped taking pupils until your character arrives and expresses an interest in his music rather than his archer skills.
That's the best spoiler-free synopsis I can give of that class route. I haven't leveled any other class to 50 yet. It wasn't bad.

I started out as a Lancer and left it at 17, but I thought the story for it was neat. Also, I despised the Conjurer story, personally. Thankfully things get better after level 30 when Sylvie isn't the focus.

CNJ/WHM:
CNJ - You must learn to harness the power of the elements, and attempt to help another young conjurer as well, but can you save her from her own self-destructive behavior in time?
WHM - The great spirit of the twelveswood is ill at ease. The seedseers have therefore determined to perform the "quieting" to dispel the great one's fury. But what mysteries does the Everschade hold, and can you quell the forest's wrath in time to save Gridania?

I don't really want to go into detail but from all the classes I played I found the pugilist storyline to be the most enjoyable. Hit my funnybone :)
Basically it teaches you that old age shouldn't stop you from doing what you want. If I'd say more I couldn't do it without spoilers.
I know not a real synopsis.

GLD is all about defending others while putting on a show for the Coliseum-goers. PLD is about trying to find a rogue PLD that has dishonored the Sultansworn. Also trying to recover the Oathkeeper.
-
Gladiator story - Follow the story of your character uncovering the past of a Legendary Gladiator.
Paladin - Discovering the meaning of Unity and a fellowship by the Oath of the Paladin while discovering a bit more about the corruption in Ul'dah.
Pugilists - Basic comical Martial Arts story about the Disciple bring back the Legend his Master once was (so far the best Class story in the game for me)
Monk - discovering the secrets of Chakra

Pugilist was the best story then turned into the worst with Monk. Dragoon and Scholar were my favorite stories from Job quest.
