How to move combat pop-up scroll and messages (PS3)

After a lot of effor to optimize my UI, there are two elements I really need to figure out how to move. The pop up numbers during combat (such as curing I recieved, damage done to the boss, etc etc) Are just right over the center of the action, and I find them distracting. I would like to keep the information, I just want to move it slightly to the right.

Similarly, the Pop up mesages (such as "There are 10 minutes remaining to finish x dungeon.) are right over my toon and where I want them to not be. I also have been unable to move them.

Does anyone know how to move either of these elements on the PS3 UI?

I was finally able to get my hotbar/buffbar/target bar/parameter bar to fit neatly at the bottom of the screen so all the info is in one place, but with the scroll and messages, its just so distracting.
