Goldceo Spam increasing.

I'm sorry if I'm beating a dead horse that and I don't really feel like sifting through a ton of forums, but can something please be done about goldceo.com?

Here's the harassment report I filled out moments ago:

Issue: Please see the below, this has been on going. My blacklist option is becoming full. I'm currently at 127/200. Please, correct this.

As you can see, I'm now 127/200 blacklisted, and that's just people spamming gold buying websites either in my /tell or via /shout.

I have yet to actually blacklist a real player.

Is there something in the works? Forgive me if the fix has already been posted.

i would remove the links, i think it's bannable on the forum.

anyway if you think about it it's hard to quickly catch such behaviour. multiple characters made on multiple servers with always different messages that little by little are becoming more complex than captchas.
you can send a ticket but even then multiple people are getting spam messages and a percentage of them is sending reports. a moderator then has to go through all of them, verify the message in their logs and eventually ban the guy. and you get why they are not banned in real time.

the horror.

If they'd add a "Block and Report" to the right-click menu on the chatbox A LOT more people would be reporting gold sellers.

And a system that caused someone to be automatically chat blocked after 50 reports within a day until their case received attention from a GM would seem viable.

The links gotta go, as SE considers it passive advertising. Also, you can delete some of the old ones. The ones that say deleted is due to a player purposefully deleting the character. The rest most likely are banned already, but they are not removed from your blacklist automatically. I dropped all but the last 12 and have yet to see a shout.

GoldCEO is a persistent bugger though. A new one every other hour it seems.

It's actually quite easy to fix this. All they have to do is implement a 1 second cooldown in between /tell messages. Normal users won't even notice this, but spammers will no longer be able to use one character to spam everyone on the server every 15 seconds.

Making more topics about the spam issue isn't going to make things any different.

Actually it might. Think of it this way. If everyone started a topic about gil sellers and posted one thread each.. this forum would get overloaded in minutes with all the threads... The only reason it isnt is most are too lazy to come on the forums and beg SE to fix it, or they post on someone else's post...

Mayhaps we should start annoying SE in the same fashion as the gil sellers annoy us and Mass spam them regarding the gil sellers lol.
