Status Icons + Animations, and Area of Effect 'marking'

Just a few things i think that in the end result of the new battle system, might be nice to have.

• Status Icons - ie. Sleep, Silence, Blind, Paralyze etc. Like the icon in a bubble above the pc's head. And maybe some better animations like when slept, character lays down, or when paralyze you become stiff as a board, poison the pc turns all green. Whatever just somthing other then the same "pain" looking like effect. These are all traditional status effects or somewhat similar to all the prior FF games, kinda lame they get left out imo~

• Area of Effect "marking" - Basically somthing that shows what area the move you will do will effect. I know right now there are several conj and thm moves, even archer, that adjust the range and width of area of effect and range spells/attacks. I think an indicator of the aoe will help alot in judging if it is viable to use the abilities or not in certain situations.



Not really anything important but anyone got thoughts or likes on the matter would be appreciated~

Status Icons, something like FF12? I have no problem with it, some people will want it optionable but not incredibly important or controversial...

As for marking AOE effect.... I think all that's necessary is to have all enemies that would be effected have a similar, but slightly different, targeting circle over them.

I was thinking something as simple as just having the targets blinking, or a green or red tint/hue somthing.

Or maybe we could just make aoe spells hit claimed mbos

I think it would be more wise to allow exp & items to be awarded for killing unclaimed monsters.... kind of silly to bandaid things like that better to wait it out.
