Any update on Musketeer.

So we are approaching the first patch and what was discussed back in beta is that they would like to have musketeer ready shortly after launch possibly in a patch.

So unless musketeer is being sneaked in as a Christmas gift to us 2.1, is there any chance on an update on this class and Job that will be released with it?

For the classes and jobs, we will introduce them through patches because all of the Legacy players have level 50 jobs anyway. When we introduce new classes and jobs we will probably increase the level cap at the same time.

About what I want to introduce- it’s more like what I think I have to introduce. Something related to guns because the (musketeer) guild in the game. Something related to that I think I have to introduce.

To me, this is hinting at 2.1, but I can't say this with full confirmation. ( Live letter is this month, featuring New in-game content) So if it is in 2.1 it will be then we hear about it!

Ya I'm pretty sure they are not going to increase the level cap in 2.1 so very very unlikely.

Means they may or may not raise it (High Probability that it will happen). But vague is vague ( SE finest trait!) Besides, to some people this game is 3 years old and should get a cap raise sometime soon 2.1 or 2.2.

Because of all the legacy players having level 50 jobs. Which makes me believe, he wants to give Legacy players "leveling content" and not wait to expansions when they normally happen. ( Probably get more Jobs anyhow come expansion time)

Musketeer is already in the game prepared and all, just needs the NPC and quests that revolve around Musketeer.

It would be great if Musketeer was added with 2.1, but I don't think there's any chance of that happening.

You quoted something from 6 months before the game's release. I'm sure plans have changed in the past 8 months.

Sure things can change, but the quote is there and if "nothing" has changed since then, then it still holds merit. Besides it's the obvious anyhow. Legacy players " including myself" have a lot of level 50 Jobs ( I made a new character though). to those that have all 50's come into the game with only 1 class to level ( which is easy through story mode) then they have very little end game to do.

Personally, I think something like that hasn't changed "class wise", the level cap raise is a different story as that probably has changed.

the add of a class, raise of level, add of an area are something you plan more of 1 years before, it's a lot of work. for a class you have to create design for the item, create skill, animation, AF, relic, quest line, balance,... it's a looooot of work, more than any add of content.

Musketeer like arcanist was planned back in 1.0. So they probably have much of the this already worked out. I would say balancing the class is probably the big thing.

Correct, The guild is in place already. The guild itself has been around since 1.0 days. (3 years ago). Summoner/Scholar still came before Musketeer XD. I think The "class/Job" thing he was referring to is what is already in the game currently. ( which is again Musketeer.)

They don't even have to raise the cap to put in Musketeer. If not in 2.1 then most likely 2.2.
