First level cap rise predictions

When do you all think our first level cap rise will happen?
How much of a raise do you think it will go up to?

Also, Yoshi-p stated that when Level cap rise, there will also be new classes/jobs ( probably only in relation to the first level cap rise).

What classes do you think will be introduced ( outside of Musketeer that is sure to come?)
What Jobs will accompany those classes?

I feel a level cap raise will happen in 2.2 and Musketeer/Ronin as the classes. ( Level cap to 60)

Jobs for Musketeer: Corsair/Theif
Jobs for Ronin= Samurai/Ninja

Note: The classes/jobs/level cap will probably be introduced in stages ( that is my guess).

First of all, we are planning a new race for an expansion pack. For the classes and jobs, we will introduce them through patches because all of the Legacy players have level 50 jobs anyway. When we introduce new classes and jobs we will probably increase the level cap at the same time.

3.0 possibly, but I'm hoping not till later.
I'm not a fan of level cap raises.
Brings back painful memories of playing Korean free to play games.

I just hope any level-cap increases comes with a major steepening of the progression curve. Right now it's a bit too easy to reach level cap on classes.

Is Ronin going to be a class? doesn't make much sense if it is :/ but I dunno.. with the pace of levelling it wouldn't surprise me if they increased a cap by 15+

I doubt we'll see a level cap increase until the first expansion. That said I wouldn't be surprised seeing an expansion with a year or so (maybe like 6-9 mths after PS4 version.)

Well, if I'm not mistaken, Yoshi-P first mentioned that he wants to add a new class (classes?) via a patch and not wait for the first expansion, but who knows if those plans will still be in effect.

My guess is that the first level cap raise will come with patch 2.2 to go along with the next part of Binding coil of Bahamut. If there's no level cap raise they my next bet is that it will only happen with the expansion (which I expect to be released next Summer).

First new class to be added is most certainly Musketeer given that they already have a guild ready and all. Other than that... I honestly expect to see more of the current classes getting a second job than a new class being added. I only expect new classes other than Musketeer to come with the first expansion.

Hard to tell what they are going to call the new classes, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see the class leading to Samurai being called something like blademaster. Though on the other hand, its possible that Samurai might be the second job for Lancer.

Honestly, I don't want to ever see an iconic job like Thief relegated to being just a class. A better option would be to have a class named Rogue that would have Thief and Ninja as jobs.

"Ronin" is a certain type of "Samurai".
Just like "Apple" is a certain type of "Fruit".
"Fruit" class splitting into "Apple" job and "Orange" job makes sense.
But "Apple" class splitting into "Fruit" job and "Vegetable" job doesn't make much sense.

weaponwise the class before samurai would probably use a katana, i just cant think of any name that uses a katana other than the samurai. and
ninja does not use katana more like kodachi which is near to knife, so its preceding class could be a thief which could come rather than a ronin? not sure because theres really no diff. between a ronin and a samurai but its not a bad idea and looking by the diff. in culture the sam and ninja could really come after 3.0 or so on

lastly i think i remembered SE made a smartphone game with a swordmaster job so samurai could be a class and not a job, who knows? it could be samurai-->swordmaster.

I will say the first level cap of lv55 will be raise after christmas, because new players will get the game and give a reason for players that taken time off of the game to come back and play with them. Then the second level cap of lv60 will be on the launch of the ps4 version of the game and have a expansion come out. Might be there plan since all ps3 user got the ps4 version for free. Then a paid 9$ expansion with 2 new classes and new story arcs and quests and zones. Would seem reasonable close to that time frame around march or april.

yep. so a main class as Samurai with subjobs as Ronin and maybe Assassin would make more sense.
With a level cap increase you`d hope it`d come with a fair amount of new content so yeah I`d imagine it will come with an expansion
