World Transfer, seriously...

we're now able to world transfer for 18$, ok fine, theres a fee, i dont mind at all. What doesnt make sense is we cant transfer " legacy to non-legacy" i mean... you guys are using the "economy" as a reason to not allow these transfer.

I understand that some people have a good amount of gils on legacy server and if they transfer that "CAN" fuck up the economy, but, what about you put a restriction to it... 1/10 gils transfered, 4/10 received in 1 month, 5/10(completed) in 5 month, i dont know, find a solution.

Many of my friends bought the game and are on a non-legacy server, so im stuck alone on a japanese server.

Making a new character is another solution but, why do all the work again when I "thought" I will be able to transfer it... after a few weeks, when I hear about it, bang... restricted and theres not even an average date on when its gonna be possible.

PS: is it possible to stop my account time? bought 30 days, that i wont use coz im playing with japanese only...

It is an unfortunate situation that you find yourself in and I sympathize. Unfortunately I don't see a legacy to non-legacy transfer happening any time soon. Square enix made it quite clear even before the game was launched that it would not be possible to transfer to non legacy from legacy for quite some time. In addition, they allowed legacy players to select their server before the game was launched, so the only reason you would be stuck on a Japanese server is because either you selected that server or you didn't realize that you could select which legacy server to start on. I guess from square enix's point of view, your friends could have started on your legacy server or they could all transfer to you, which sucks.

The only rather costly solution that I can offer you is that you and your friends all transfer to an English speaking legacy server, though I understand this is not ideal. I imagine square enix wish non-legacy servers time to stabalise their economies and to attain enough levels and gear before they allow legacy to non-legacy transfers, otherwise legacy players with all crafts at max or free companies who are all in the best gear could just monopolize the economy.

P.s. I dont believe you can stop your account time, once it is paid for, it will continue to decrease until you run out, so if you stop playing now, you will lose all the time you have paid for.

Yeah cause the people on non legacy don't already have lvl 50 crafters and people with lots of gil. I could possibly understand legacy =X> New servers (by that I mean the servers created after launch do to congestion for a bit longer anyway). My buddy on Gilgamesh has relic weapon, gear and plenty of gil. There are plenty of lvl 50 crafters as well. The whole economy thing is mostly nonsense. They are allowing legacy => legacy server transfers with gil restrictions anyways. How are you supposed to hurt an already stable economy with a gil restriction, not even considering the fact that you paid 18$ just to get there with these restrictions?

There have been plenty of suggested solutions to this and SE has been fairly quiet and unresponsive. It's only a matter of time before they lose players cause of it.

You also need to realize something. The more level 50 people on the server crafting and farming => the more cheaper things are because of supply>demand. This helps new players, not hurts them. It means they can get MORE for their money. I can understand limiting gil brought into the server severely to avoid inflation due to the increased server gil pool but there is no other reason to stop a server transfer otherwise.

Don't forget this is all still SE's fault. A lot of us would be gaming with our buddies or on the right server in the first place if the launch wasn't a complete mess.

I agree with you completely. I do hope that square enix implement a solution for people in a situation similar to yours.

If you were in the Beta and only if the site let you submit your application. If the site had issues and wouldnt let you submit, you were stuck on the server you were on. If you wernt in the Beta to get the info on the applications, you were stuck on the server you were on. It was idiotic they didnt let legacy players pick a server to move to when first logging in. Not that it really matters since new players didnt want to go to the legacy servers anyways so pretty much legacy characters are stuck playing with other legacy characters.

With how easy they made leveling up I am pretty sure the new servers have caught up to the legacy servers anyways, there were people on Gilgamesh that had all crafting classes at 50 within a few weeks of launch.

I was frustrated, I stated on a legacy server thinking I would be able to transfer to non-legacy later. I was not part of the beta. Then found out about the restriction after finding out my friends were on a non-legacy. The only solution is to roll out a new character. Now I'm trying to level a character on a new server and still reach end game on the legacy server. Do I honestly want to run through all the story quests again? Not really but until they lift the restrictions I'm stuck too.

Suspending my account 'til they let my character leave Legacy. Hopefully, it's soon.
