What I would like to see is an Alternative way to get Thavnairian Mist maybe add it to Philosophy for 2000 Tomes while keeping 300 Myth Tomes available. So we could have another way to make a Relic+1.
Ok first off I don't have an issue with Mythology Cap. But what I do have a problem with is that I can make a Relic in a day, But it takes 3 weeks to make a +1. And because of the weekly cap it is almost impossible to gear a job in Relic and try to make a +1 for a
2nd job. I don't have an issue with waiting weeks to get a piece of relic gear, I played FFXI for 8 years and waited months to get a drop from Dyna. I just don't like the fact we can make a relic in a few hours but making a +1 for more than one job takes away from gearing a main job. The reason behind this is because for Coils its nice to have another job to fall back on incase someone bails out.
Probably will get trolled for this but it would be nice.

I just think it's nice that there aren't people walking around with +1 everywhere. Makes me feel special and helps me get a party before other dps :P

They will probably remove the cap when CT comes out and Ultimate primals and remove myth from normal dungeons.

However, Yoshi stated many new ways to get to cap, without hinting in the slightest of removing the cap in his latest development letter.

The way it is now, a relic +1 is a pretty good indicator that that particular job is that person's "main" job, the thing that they were willing to dedicate 3 weeks' worth of Mythology tomestones to make their performance in that job just that much better. In a game where you can pretty trivially grind out relics for every class, having that small modicum of specialization isn't a terrible thing IMO.

I'd disagree with you if coil turn 5 was beatable by the majority of end game free companies (because it drops lvl 90 weapons equivalent to relic +1) but it isn't. So it makes a three week wait the only way for people to get lvl 90 weapons.
Maybe once lvl 80 gear comes out it'll make coil easier to beat so you can gear other jobs by beating coil on your main. -

There is a alternative way to get a relic 1 its called try and win turn 5. The only reason why i think it's more worth getting relic 1+ is the fact that Yoshi-p said you can upgrade it later on.
