Garuda Weapon vs. Relic +1 Weapon

So I've been using Garuda weapon for a while as I work towards relic but then I noticed this: Garuda's Delay is so much shorter than Relic, Garuda's DPS is recorded to be 16.53
while relic shows 14.74. It was to my understanding that Relic +1 annihilated Garuda weapon, but this data doesn't exactly show it. I'm not accounting for the stats, but even if you do account for the stats, the Relic +1 doesn't seem that much better...

Any thoughts or explanation?

weapon damage is much more important that that 2 auto attack dps

For some reason databases currently have DPS derived from P.Damage/delay when it should be Auto-attack/delay. Or not show it at all as every weapon with same ilvl have same aa DPS.

Ah I see... so if we calculate using auto-attack then we get 13 for the Garuda and 15 for the Relic...

I was very confused, why the hell would I work so hard if Relic isn't even better :P but I guess it is after all!

Garuda is still very underrated imo.

In general with instant cast abilities you want high weapon damage, and as of right now almost everything is instant cast so weapon damage beats out auto-attack damage. Auto-attack damage could be more import for MNK as attack speed goes up. Less delay more hits and add up with GL. But without proper theorycrafting would be hard to say how much attack speed would be needed for auto attack to surpass weapon damage on actions. My guess currently this threshold is not reachable.

Because the stats are ridiculously higher on +1. Only non relic users would say idiot stuff like this, and a simply damage gets multiplied that even a +2 increase will becomes a large increase.

People are forgetting that weapons themselves only have minor damage up through the life of 1-50, yet their damage progresses very high from weapon to weapon.

isnt delay only affect auto atk? ur auto atk is only a bonus, your mian source of damage is from spaming atk skill, with relic weapon your skill will do a lot more damage than garuda weapon. (with mnk as exception, :P) MNK aa can do moderate damage.
