Unfortunate event/exerpience with <Spire>

While free transfers were available I met a player that was going to create his own FC after his current FC was transferring out of the server. I was going to transfer out as well but since he was going to make an FC and told me I could heal Coil with him I decided to stay.

On Friday we headed into Coil. Most of us were there for the first time except for the OT (which was a PUG that had Coil experience)

We killed the ADS in 2 attempts. Things were looking good seeing how we killed ADS in 2 attempts.

We move onto Caduceus and attempt him at least 4+ times (but less than 10) before the OT had to go.

During these attempts we had wiped due to tanks dying and OT not getting enough aggro after the split. Towards the end of the night we were making progress as long as the OT was able to pick up the boss.

Saturday comes and we were all online except for the OT who said he would be coming back but did not. We tried to find a replacement OT but was not able to. You could easily tell the FC master was getting frustrated/annoyed (by the sound of his voice and how he was acting on Teamspeak) not being able to find an OT so we could go back into Coil. He logs out of the game and TS as well without saying anything either in game or on TS. Couple of minutes later he hops back on TS and doesn't say what happened to him if he had DC'd or not. He just mentions that he is playing Path of Exile and wanted to see him anyone else on TS wanted to play with him.

You would think that the master of the FC would properly announce that the raid has been cancelled due to not enough members instead of logging off (both game and TS) hoping on TS later announcing your playing another game and seeing if someone else wants to join him?

Sunday night comes a few hours before Maintenance I was doing my AK/WP runs to max out on myths. After my last run I tried to speak in FC chat but it wasn't working. Once I left the dungeon I open up the menu and notice that I am no longer in an FC.

I tried to whisper the FC leader but no response. Tried to ask nicely why he decided to kick me. When you get cut/kicked/fired from something the person at least deserves to know why it had happened to them from the person who was in control. So I talked to another member in the FC too see if he knew why I had been kicked. The other member I was talking to told me that they had sad I was doing bad in Coil.

They were saying I was bad in Coil after 1 night (like 2-3 hrs) of attempts? Like I mentioned before we killed ADS in 2 attempts. Even our kill on him wasn't even clean MT would loose aggro for a split second boss would run towards the ranged DPS and do his melee AoE in the middle of the room.

Our attempts on Caduceus weren't even that bad if the OT didn't have to leave that night we would have eventually gotten the split part correct and killed him. Majority of the attempts that we had we wiped because of the split part where the OT wasn't able to generate and hold threat right away on boss (b) The boss (b) would immediately run towards the healer and kill them and the other party members near them due to cleave. Even during the raid the other healer (the FC master) said that the boss kept coming after him. We all didn't know why it was happening. We were all guessing after the raid that maybe the OT was just not generating enough threat. Out of all the attempts (1 out of like 4+) we did that night only one attempt where I had made a mistaken and spawned an extra add.

Even so to just give up like that and kick someone without telling them after 1 night of 4-5 attempts on a new boss for majority of us?

I don't like to get involved in the politics of a guild but to clarify, ADS' piercing laser has a minimum range, you/other tank staying at the entrance caused him to move half way across the map to cast his piercing laser, has nothing to do with aggro. You should've known this had you watched the guide that was asked to be watched before we went into coil.

EDIT: In your defense, I just looked at the logs from Saturday, and I see your HPS was higher than the other healer (around 15-20% more in coil and 2-5% more in Titan although you died every attempt on Titan to weight of the land (plumes), using FFXIVLogRep), now I don't know a lot about healing in this game or how reliable logs are(range issue, combat end time, the other healer got killed by boss aggro during splits a few times in coil etc) so take it with a grain of salt.

PS: You make some good points about the importance of being transparent with your members though which is one of the characteristic of a good guild.

Thank you for the reply. Believe it or not I did watch Turn 1 videos the night before we headed into Coil. Which is why I typed in chat after our first wipe on ADS it would be easier/cleaner if we all stacked left side and then run to the right side stay there and run back left again instead of just dodging it left/right depending on who where he targeted.

About Titan, Yes I admit I did die on the attempts we did on Titan. As a healer that shouldn't happen but it was usually towards the end of the fights where other people had already died. In my defense I was not the only one who was dying or getting knocked out multiple of times throughout our attempts.

The fact still remains that I got kicked out of the FC without a notice or a reply from someone about it/what I did wrong. Being called a baddie in Coil when clearly our wipes were not my fault?

Also that one time where we did the split part correctly and was surviving for a long time before the MT tank died and the dps. At the beginning even before we pulled for first attempt it was already clear that I would be going over with the OT and healing him, yet when we got to that point (our best attempt) the other guy decided to heal the MT, the raid, as well as the OT which was most likely why the MT had went down in the first place.

As badly written as this thread is, it is still a better love story than Twilight.
