And here comes the evidence, it is indeed a puzzle.
1A. Relic Part 1 - Chimera - Connected to 1B
The very first Relic Part is Chimera. It is there that you come across the fact that Silence can be vital to dodge a mechanic (Dragon's Voice can be silenced by PLD, MNK or BRD in a rotation) yet you also can stand far and close to avoid it. However many teams used that Silence Rotation. It's the very first fight that gives you a "real" use for Silence, besides some cool stuff in previous PvE Content.
1B. Coil Turn 1 - ADS (Guardian)
Silence is vital to kill ADS due to High Voltage and AoE Paralysis.
Conclusion: Connection between Relic Part 1 & Coil Turn 1 is a fact
1B2-Mirror. Coil Turn 1 - ADS (Guardian) > Becomes Boss in Coil Turn 2 - Mirror Mechanic
If you then in puzzle mechanics use the mirroring tactic then Caduceus becomes all of a sudden a Coil Turn 2 Boss (Puzzle-wise, not ingame wise) as ADS 1 gets mirrored to 2 as boss, which means that the both bosses also gets mirrored. Therefore ADS as Boss is a Turn 1 Mirror AND Caduceus gets Mirrored in Turn 2. If you don't like mirroring techniques, don't break your head. This isn't even a vital part of the evidence. Just go by the idea then if you can't follow my think-pattern that Caduceus is a "Puzzle-wise" a Coil Turn 2 Boss.
2A. Relic Part 2 - Hydra
The add is the vital mechanic of the fight. The add has the possibility to prevent the boss from getting a DMG Buff and thus raping your tank.
2B. Coil Turn 2 - Mirrored Caduceus
The adds in this fight are also needed to prevent the boss from getting DMG Buff stacks and thus raping your tank.
Conclusion: Evidence of the Link between Relic Part 2 and Coil Turn 2 is in the game
3A-Main. In pure mathematics, you work with a "Find X" system. The question is simple:
Turn 5 holds the Mystery in Turn 3 THEREFORE Relic Part 5 holds the Mystery in Relic Part 3
In Mathematics they then would "prove" the statement. To conclude what was stated is correct.
3A-Sub. Relic Part 3 - Ifrit Hardmode CONNECTION with Relic Part 5 - Titan Hardmode
- Ifrit Hardmode fails upon not killing the nails. Simple AoE blows your group to death.
- Titan Hardmode fails upon not killing the heart. Simple AoE blows your group to death.
FINAL Conclusion
Part 1 & 2 of Relic has ingame evidence they are linked with Coil 1 & 2Quote:

Extra Backup Motivation
When I was a kid, my mum told me this:

Fly in the air.
Turn 3 - Completion by "flying in the air"
Air = Wind
Completion in 3 because of Wind = Completion in 5 because of Wind.
May the mystery be revealed. All I can say is that the key of the puzzle, is nothing but a mere search in Coil Turn 3.

I'm having a hard time following anything you're saying...
Turn 5 has been beaten legitimately. If what you're saying is you need to beat turns 1-4 and get your relic to beat turn 5... then yea. Mystery Solved.
Hello Sephirah
To maybe make it easier for you and perhaps for some others then. There are 3 things that brought me to writing this post.
1. Yoshi stated that the Bossfight isn't bugged. Despise the Positioning not updating fast enough with the server.
2. Yoshi stated that they are happy about how Coil Turn 3 is scripted. As an answer to a community question about why there was no loot and no bossfight.
3. There are connections ingame that shows you where the mechanic comes from.
- I've started to think about it, when I fairly fast came to the awareness that there are 5 Coil Turns and about exact 5 Parts in your Relic Quest.
- You do need the 5 Parts in your Relic Quest to unlock Coil.
- And this post was about not only why you needed them 5 Parts to Unlock, but also to complete Coil.
Every Turn, with so far huge exception of 4 has a direct link to the Relic Quest.
Therefore it's a logical event of facts that Coil Turn 3 holds the key / mechanic to Coil Turn 5.
