Rose Gold Gorget materia caps

Does anyone know how much mind/piety you can put into it?

As a healer, Astral Choker gives me 9 mind and 9 spell speed (almost useless). Gorget gives 10 vit and 6 det; as long as I can socket 8 mind and 6 piety it would be better - 1 mind for 2 vit.

The general rule of thumb is you can socket the stat up to the base that the item can normally take. So you -should- be able to put 9 mind and 9 piety on it.

Piety caps at 6 in earring, wrist, and ring. Dex caps at 7 on gorget, but str caps at 9.. so not sure what mind caps at.

I don't know where you're getting your numbers, but I find them very hard to believe. Primary stats should cap at the same numbers that Darklight has in the same slot (since they're both iLvl70), so for neck it should be 10VIT/8PIE/9EverythingElse. The same caps should apply for ears. I didn't bother to check any other slots.

I have personally tested the piety on earring, wrist, and ring and people have posted caps in comments on xivdb.com that have all been accurate. Vit cap is 9 on all astral pieces, 10 on gryphonskin. But it looks like no one has tried putting mind in rose gold gorget yet.

It looks like you haven't even tried to meld any accessories, so I'm not sure why you responded.

This is a good idea, i would like to know if it is possible.
