Additional Class

Hi,

How can i change to an additional class? Im Marauder lv16 and want to play as Gladiator a bit. I read somewhere that i have to get a Soul Crystal to change the class but i have absolutely no idea where to get it.

Soul Crystals are for Jobs, you start getting them just after the class-quest @30. As far as changing to another class from Marauder, you'll need to visit the guild of the class you want to become and talk to the receptionist.

Hi there!

It's a lot easier than you think. To start Gladiator, you'll need to make a trip to Ul'dah and pay a visit to the Coliseum(the Gladiator's guild). Seeing as how you're a Marauder, I'm betting that you call Limsa Lominsa home, and you can get a feel for what it involves unlocking additional classes by visiting the various guilds there, such as the Arcanists, or one of the several "trade" guilds there such as Fisherman or Armorer/Blacksmith.

All that said, the fastest way to Ul'dah for you as far as I know(bit of a newbie myself :P) is to conduct the story quests offered at the Adventurer's guild. That will land you an Airship pass and let you explore the other cities.

There's a difference between classes and jobs - classes require no soul crystal and can borrow skills from any other class, whereas jobs are more specifically tuned.

soon, i want to be a Warrior and i read that i have to be lv30 marauder and lv15 gladiator. thats why.. :)

One other thing: You have to have done your level 10 class quest at the Marauders' Guild before it'll let you change to any other class. Since you're level 16, you should have done it already (and the level 15 as well, which as a *very* useful ability as a reward), but I mention it just in case.
