[dev1076] Job specific assets

Greetings all,

Just thought I would give my two cents to the Job Specific Assets.

For a start, if we are going along the line of equipment, I feel that Artifact Armor akin to FINAL FANTASY XI should be implemented. That armor when obtained in XI made me really feel like I was that job (who here remembers when they first obtained the Warlock's Chapeu?). The equipment helped to further solidify that job's identity, so I would like that kind of equipment implemented.

Secondly, I feel that the current animations for casting are lack luster. If new jobs were to become available the casting animations for each job should be different. i.e White Magic looks different to Black Magic casting. Pretty much similar to XI, but the casting animations can be different. I used to love the fact that each type of magic had a different casting animation.

Perhaps my ideas are kind of based upon XI, but I think if you take what was in XI as a guideline you could create some truly awesome specific assets.

Agreed, artifact armor needs to be implemented along with jobs.

This is one of my strongest hatreds about FFXIV at the moment, I never feel really that great about myself equipment wise... sure you work hard ranking to ~37 and can finally wear "iron" WOOOOOWWWW, it's a joke that's all...

The equipment in the game already is SO medieval looking it's terrible, I dont want to even level a mage because I feel like I am just gonna run around with something with a texture of a potato sack on... it's a terrible route that equipment is taking...

As far as wearing Iron stuff as basically End-Game content for now... I dunno it seems like a joke, wheres the myth, or darksteel, they could have at least included something like that and PLEASE, don't just make a re-color/pallete swap... fml.

Artifact armor and a really involving storyline to get it would be nice. I always thought the screenshots they had of gladiators with the white and blue armor would be af. Even some of the really early screenshots and promo vids showed adventurers in the same armor over and over.
