Tanks Blaming Healers

We go in to the instance, first thing, the tank runs off before i am even half way trough casting prot and SS on them, they start taking heavy damage which means i have to use my divine seal and spam heals on them even before i can put prot and SS on them, then they run to the next mob as i am trying to heal them up, and it hits them just as they get in range (even when i try to interrupt it, it still sometimes pop). YAY ME! insta-hate, Not only am i trying to now keep the tank alive, i am wasting time, trying to get the tank to grab the adds, cast SoS, and keep them and me alive. If we happen to wipe, the tank yells at me to learn my class, to wait til he has hate to heal him....Well yeah DUH, i didnt just start healing yesterday. Then by the second boss, the tank goes, 'oh shield oath might help' REALLY? ya think giving yourself a lil more protection might help eh.

I always wait for protect and SS. I'm a WAR, SS is like... super effective on me. not to mention, I heal myself/avoid damage fairly well. to the point where I was (jokingly) yelled at for making the healer bored.

SS is exactly as effective on you as it is on a PLD. You get a bigger shield, but you also get hit harder. It absorbs the same amount of damage. Unless the PLD uses his cooldowns, in which case it is better on the PLD.

It absorbs more damage based on your total health Higher health=better use.

PLD takes the mildly less on a straight hit, yes. and I regen health while fighting. Paladins don't.

True, but better mitigation means less needing to be absorbed. It is just as effective. Of course him not using shield oath is well, a problem.

insert all tanks in this thread saying how they'd do differently. Post this into the healer roles forums if you want to discuss this with fellow healers and rant about it amongst yourselves, or keep rants to yourself unless you're looking to comfort yourself somehow.

No, your thinking is flawed because you are not considering cooldowns, as well as SO and blocking.
This means that a Paladin under the effect of Stoneskin, is going to have a better long term gain from stoneskin, even more so if they use Rampart, Hallowed ground, Sentinel, Bulwark, etc etc.

Someone doesn't know what eHP is and everyone regens HP over time, WAR is nothing special.
