Because of macro, I always tag marking in order 2->3->1.
Then, some ppl dont seem to recognize the number on the mark, but memory the marking order instead. :confused:Keep getting ppl attacking 2 instead of 1.....

Is there any particular reason you mark them in that order? There are some people who just don't seem to understand what a mark means, but unless there's a particular reason as for marking the targets 2->3->1, why not switch it to 1->2->3 and see what happens? Maybe it'll help; maybe it'll be pointless, but I don't think it'd hurt to try.
Let your party know before you start the content the kill order. It shouldn't matter how you mark them when u are in the fight. My parties we just use the Alpha marks already on the targets.
Target alpha order (unless priority monsters like succubus in AK).
I just use the Circle mark over what everyone should be focusing on and move it over to whatever I want the party to kill next when the previous one is close to death.
Of course there are those times where the DPS are insane and switch targets leaving the first one at 1% health but those are rare.
Marking is always.. 1>2>3 thats how ppl count.. if you do it different than explain it..
Hi guise, I do things differently, people should just know.
Press buttons, collect loot.
At least you aren't like some tanks that mark with stupid orders like Chain 2, Cancel 1 and Triangle and expect you to know which to kill. It should be obvious to ALWAYS mark and kill 1-2-3. Baffles me that people can't follow that.
What I don't get is how some people can see a group of 3 mobs, see 2 of them marked 1 and 2, and then still be curious if they should kill the unmarked one first or not. Sorry for assuming you could count.
(When I say "you" I'm not talking to anyone in this thread, just the hypothetical person attacking the unmarked mob instead of 1 or 2)
