AF/AF0 = Quest Rewards (iLvL 50)
AF1 = Allagan Tomestone of Mythology Purchased (iLvL 90)
AF2 = New set revealed recently in a live letter (iLvL ??)
also, there is no plus system for Artifact Armor yet, so really try to avoid saying "AF+1" or "AF+2"

We needed a thread for this?
Ever thought it could be a PvP set?
Nobody is going to call the tome set AF1, that's probably more confusing than the non-standard system we're dealing with now. May as well just stick with the +1 in that case. I used to call it AF2, myself. Personally I prefer "myth gear" or "relic armor". And if we're being honest, it probably makes the most sense now to actually keep it AF, AF+1, AF2.
I really wish Square-Enix would have a community rep post a response breaking down exactly what they call the sets and end this inane nonsense. Incidentally I just stuck with the FFXI progress and called it relic armor.
I've been calling it AF+1, Mythos AF, Myth AF, AF2 .... I guess I look silly. One thing I know, though, is I don't care if I do >:3 Hell, I'ma call it Bubblegum Armour next!
I call it by it's name. You people make the silliest things such a huge issue. While we're freaking out, the grass looks horrible.
honestly, i've been calling it AF2 this whole time (the myth gear). Unless they say otherwise...i'll probably keep calling it AF2 and that next set of artifact gear AF3. It just makes sense that way to me.
Well, considering we don't have AF2 yet (latest Live Letter pics of the next dragoon armor clearly had AF2 on it) calling anything we have now AF2 would be... silly. I call them AF and AF+1 with the non-AF gear being Relic or Mythic. But I'm an old XI player so that's a given that I'd call it what I do.
