Make Physical Levels into a Merit Point System

I think the biggest and best innovation that FFXIV has brought to MMOs is the idea of horizontal growth. Physical levels were the best indication of approximate horizontal growth we've had. I would like to see the level cap raised or removed. It should be harder to raise your physical level. Then I would like to see Physical levels used to give a very small standard bonus to a character. These small bonuses would only apply to R50 jobs or classes. Basically you could make your R50 character slightly stronger by increasing your physical level.

ABOLISH ALL LEVELS AND HAVE EVERYONE EQUAL. MAKE A TRULY HORIZONTAL GAME.

MAKE PROGRESSION TIED TO PLAYER SKILL AND ACQUIRED ABILITIES.

LEVELS AND RANKS ARE FOR NOOBS WHO NEED A CUSHION/CRUTCH TO HELP THEM GET STRONGER.
