It's way cuter, and has a SCARF and badass jacket.

And I would prefer a male version of Lightnings outfit over the hobo trenchcoat.

That would be kinda cute on female characters tbh but I think its a massive genderbending discussion can o worms for SE to even consider that while not allowing it for males who might decide they want to wear the female armor in the Lightning Returns themed set.

Can I wear a bikini top as a male too? I think that'd serve quite a humorous purpose.

You've all seen the Cascadier outfits on guys right? You really think they'd have an issue with guys wearing Lightning's outfit?

Dude! I wanna dress as Lightning! I would totally rock that style, man or not! :3

They could just give guys the male version of the Guardian Corps uniform that Lightning wears. Though hers is apparently heavily modified.

I agree with this. As a dude playing a chick I'd love to have more coverage. Maybe I'd actually use the swimsuits.
