Finding the Sage within...

Job Quests

Design of quests to accompany the job system : (( :)okay here goes an example to start off the discussion ))

*Lore: "Long long ago their lived 10 Great Sages and each followed classes that they believed was proper".

Quest Name "Finding the Sages" .

(*Edit- not much information was given so who knows right ?, so I'm going to be open about this as much as possible...)

List of current Classes :
Job: Thaumaturge? = Sage .
Job: Conjurer? = Sage
Job: Botanist? = Sage
Job: Miner? = Sage
Job: Fisher? = Sage
Job: Weaver? = Sage
Job: Alchemist? = Sage
Job: Goldsmith? = Sage
Job: Leatherworker? = Sage
Job: Culinarian? = Sage
Job:Armorer? = Sage
Job: Blacksmith? = Sage
Job: Carpenter? = Sage
Job: Pugilist? = Sage
Job: Gladiator? = Sage
Job: Marauder? = Sage
Job: Archer? = Sage
Job: Lancer? = Sage

(Starting Job Quest; Example:

Stage 1: Travel to 3 hidden locations:
Stage 2: Find 5 books about sages and read (*lore)
Stage 3: Find 5 old parts, and repair them (*crafting and gathering)
Stage 4: Locate 10 statues of the ancient sages and pray in-front of them.. (*system message: " You Have Gained Sage's Knowledge and or Power."
Stage 4.1: Preform emote /kneel or other emotes, after preforming an emote a monster guarding that statue would appear.
Stage 5: Defeat 10 monster guards each.
Stage 5.1: trial and error
Stage 6: Get Gear *Examples: "Sage's Staff", "Sage's Robe", "Old Sage Shoes" ; "Sage Shoes", "Sage's Hat", "Eye of the Sage" , "Book of the Sage, "Sage's Ring" etc.


-------- having to repeating the quest multiple times gives different drops or nothing at all it all depends.
((*.... yeah this suggestion is full of holes and requires a lot more work... but so far so good. more job quest related to sages could soon be added after , this is one of many first to come and probably won't be the last. ))---------

If this kind of quest was possibly added to job quest system would it be okay? lets discuss this please all about the sage's first quest.

I know it ,ight sound like an annoyance...but FF sages shouldn't come from these classes. FF sages are dark magic specialists that use mace-type weapons...they are pretty much the mage counterpart of dark knights, just like white mage is for paladin.

So sage would fit much better the position of a class that is coming from THM.

The idea of using DoH or DoL to unlock other classes would be very nice...like needing GLA+ARM to unlock Defender, BTN to unlock Geomancer, GLA+CON+BTN to unlock elementalist, etc.

I've just learned something more about ff lore, also its not an annoyance at all this is discussion after all it helped and comments are all great as long as they don't go to off track ... I'll edit it or add more to the list soon. Thanks
