Other world Players
Now I'm not a new player, but i thought this would be the best place to ask this so here it goes. In dungeons and I'm assuming Duties you play with people from other Worlds (servers) is there a way to interact with them from within the game or on the lodestone? I mean would make sense then being a creeper asking for e-mail or skype addresses lol XD
-
You could find them on Lodestone but the only way to comment on there that I know of would be to comment on their blogs (if they even made one) other than that you can only party with them at the moment, it kinda sucks because when you meet really awesome people then of course you'd wanna be in touch with them but sadly nope theres no real way to contact them in game as of this moment.
Edit: You could always make a character on their server just to chill with them though, I just thought about that. >.>;; even though.... it'd be nicer to just play together and communicate when we liked. :(

I thought about that character thing but you can only have a max of 40 and i don't really have the time to chill around. Be nice to pop in a message and say hi or cross server party for dungeons :( . Either way thank you for the reply.

I didnt realize we were getting people from other worlds when we do a dungeon. i though they came just from our own world.
-
Nope, nope! its all cross-server, they kinda narrowed down which servers actually link with which though~
-
ah ha, ok cool thanks, that is verrrry interesting. Clearly they want to open up the community that was pretty clever of them. And unexpected.

I just wish I could set up groups with people from other servers, It would really help for when my wife needs to get through story dungeons, since I play healer/tank.
(she does RP stuff thats why shes on another server)
-
Very strange. Wonder why they do that? Isn't the point to build a team on the server you are on? Well no wonder there's so many problems playing dungeons if no one has played together before. LoL

There's a tradeoff. Having the DF be cross-world keeps the worlds on a more even playing field, removing the disadvantages of low population servers and therefore at least somewhat reducing the tendency of players to congregate to a few overcrowded ones. On the other hand, having it be world specific would allow it to become a better place for meeting people and perhaps joining into FCs together when you find people you like running instances with. Even though I can appreciate the reasoning for the choice they made, it doesn't keep me from regretting the lost advantages the opposite choice would have had.

I thought there WAS a way to enter the dungeon as a pre arranged party but i guess not, you will be thown in with the luck of the draw i guess. I will have to think this over, may need to try to talk to Yoshi about this.
