Mail to alts

How can we send mail to alts? I made some armour for a new alt but can't send it to him because he isn't on my friends list. YOu can't add him to friends list because he is offline.

I can understand they probably did that to avoid gold spam via email but surely you should be able to mail stuff to characters on your account.

How are you able to send stuff to alts without having to use a 3rd party?

Ask someone you can trust to relay the items for you? That is what one of my FC mates did when she created a new alt.

We shouldn't have to go through the hassle of asking someone to both put our alt on their friendlist and mail things to them. Honestly, I've never played an MMO with this kind of restriction; it's just silly.

I've lost my will to play lately in large due to this. I'm a person who loves alts and crafting. I craft for my own use and can't even send sh*t to my own alts. I shouldn't need to bother a friend to handle this for me. Whatever Dev made this decision on mail should be FIRED on the spot for complete and utter stupidity. Its such an obvious idiocy and the fact that SE hasn't even responded to many complaints on this shows that they really don't give a damn.

Yea like the guy/girl above me I have played every major MMORPG since the original EQ and this has NEVER been a problem. As I said earlier it is probably to curb gold spammers but it's a really dumb move. I like to play a lot of different characters and this is driving me nuts.

If you have access to a Free Company chest you can transfer them in that way too.
