Quest Markers on map behaving oddly

Whenever I open the map to look for the quest marker's location and it's pointing to an entrance of another area, whenever I zoom in/out the marker will move around on the map so it is unclear where the marker is pointing to. Does anyone else have this issue?

Confused me for the first few days, until I realized what was happening.

The marker is placed in the same text-box as the name of the area it's in. The marker isn't moving, it's changing size along with the area name.
