Is Shield bash supposed to be like this

so anyway I was playing the other day on my paladin class an I was checking the skills an the traits sections in my menu when I noticed a fuck up at least I think so shield bash stuns an enemy for 6sec in the skills section an then in the traits section u get a ability that increases the duration of the stun up to 6sec not an additional 6sec but puts it right at 6secs when the skill already did that to begin with what is the point of this as I see it now its a waste of a trait slot

I'm pretty sure it originally stuns for like 2 seconds.

When you get a trait that upgrades your skill, skill description changes to reflect that trait. Without the trait, in the description time of stun would be lower.

Hate to break it to you , but stun has diminishing returns as well .

6 sec then 3 sec .. etc till they go immune to stun .

Shield Bash base stun duration is 3 seconds.

Guess you didn't read the tooltip before you got the trait, like someone mentioned it's 3 seconds baseline then 6 seconds with the trait.
