Trouble with my map

I've noticed that my main character seems to be having trouble with the maps. When i mouse over events quests etc etc, the titles do not appear. I confirmed that this does NOT happen to my secondary character, im not sure if its a setting i accidentally messed up or something else. Advice or solutions? but it did not offer a solution. Can i get some help with this?
