I'm just throwing it out there maybe for a future class a materia infused soldier from ff 7.
Possibly for the story the gulidmaster can be an ex soldier that got experimented on in the Garlean Empire
I just think it would be cool because final fantasy 14 looks like it going to represent final fantasies such diverse history.
Well, you won't see any kind of materia infusion, as in FFXIV's lore materia and the way to create it was invented by beastmen (specifically, goblins), and not the Garlean Empire (there's no evidence to suggest the Garleans even know materia even exists, let alone how to create it seeing as how it was a renegade goblin who actually revealed the process of creating materia to the five races of Eorzea, after the Goblin fraternity the Illuminati had kept it a closely guarded secret for generations).
However, Nael van Darnus basically accomplished what you suggested in 1.0 where he bathed himself in aether and went all supersayian (and lost what was left of his sanity).
As a playable character class though, it's highly unlikely, as it would unbalance everything else in the game. But your idea isn't too farfetched however as a possible enemy. But I guess we'll see if something happens in what Yoshi-P and Ferne have planned for additions to the story. :)
