So what temperature monitoring software is decent these days? The one I had been using causes FF to stutter, so its worthless (it was old and out of date anyhow), but my AC went out, and it gets hot here. >< Hot enough to worry.

i use AID64 go to TPB and get a full version it show cpu,GPU,HDD and fan speed and psu fan seed and everything you need to know about your pc. But the best part is it low RAM use.
if you only care about your video card temp then use MSI afterburner if you using ATI it even have overlay which is what am doing to see the temp while playing :)
You aren't allowed to advocate piracy on these forums. >_>
If you want free monitoring software a decent choice is http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
I'm perfectly willing to buy good software, though I would prefer free, and something with extremely low overhead. I'm looking for something to monitor overall CPU temp, individual cores, GPU, and has SMART monitoring that can be turned on or off. I would also like to be able to set which temp shows in the task tray. I don't care about overlays, etc. Using GTX460 (nvidia).
Yes i know i was mod edit for posting where you could get ffxiv download ISO before for that one i say SE should have a set up for the website if not then ppl find it somewhere else. For the other no one really buy a progream like that i mean you could but at the end ppl just get it the free way.
You could also use http://www.filehippo.com/download_speccy/ it display your cpu and Video card Temp it's a free program i been using it for a while but i still like Aida64 layout but speccy is not a bad one and it's free :) you can see all the core temp video card mobo and everything it's a nice one. it's the same ppl who made ccleaner and defaggler which are also great :)
You guys rawk my sawks. Gotten a little out of touch on the who's-who and what's-what of the tech tools lately. Thanks for the help~!
+1 for HWmonitor
So, I've been looking at all these programs, and so far I like the one from Cupid the best; however, none of them allow me to minimize to the system tray (over there by the clock) and set the display to show the temperature of either my cores, the processor in general, or the GPU.
This is one of the features that I really liked from the software (way outdated) that I used to use and doesn't like to work with FF14. I would settle for something on the task bar, but I really would like to minimize and see temperatures.
Anyone use any programs that have that specific feature?
