So I got both tanks to 35 and really enjoyed WAR and the idea of WAR also it's story but I heard all the talk of it being ignored end-game, WAR's being booted from Titan parties and I admit I didn't like a WAR i played with before (I am a SCH) although it could be the individual person who wasn't very good as I usually static play with a PLD friend I don't see many WAR's
So with both at 35 I ask this.. Shall I take WAR to 50 now? or take PLD to 50 and do WAR with the 2.1 update (when is 2.1 expected anyway?)
Sooo, should I wait for WAR or..?

So that would mean oct and nov for live letters. As to the preferability of wars as tanks after 2.1, who knows? They've taken notice of the issues, but we don't know how much they will be solved. Maybe war will still be the same, maybe it'll be OP, maybe they'll be equal?Quote:

If you enjoy Warrior, play Warrior. I main warrior and have tanked every mob there is to tank in this game successfully, with 1 exception. The only mob we can't tank is Turn 4 Dreadnaught with stacks / Double Dreadnaught, but we have another place in that fight so it's not an issue. Every other fight is perfectly viable with a Warrior tank, although PLD is more passive / easier to tank as.

Level whichever you have the most fun with first. Unless you're rushing, by the time you're ready for Titan HM or Coil (the places where people are actually complaining about Warrior versus Paladin) 2.1 will likely be launched and the question will be moot anyway.

I refuse to FATE until its absolutely necessary (35+) and even then i go into dungeons to practise and won't come out til I have full gear so I have much experience already with both and can't really decide between the two. On topic, I always advise fellow FC members to level classes because they want to play them, not because they are the flavour of the month. The game balance is going to change whenever that balance is upset. Classes/Jobs will come into favour and out of it just as quickly by those who go for the most efficient/simplest/hardest-to-go-wrong route. Personally, I play to have fun, and I wouldn't be playing if I wasn't. As much as I enjoy tanking on Paladin, I like to go Warrior occasionally just for a change.
