[dev1058] Specialized Crafting Jobs/ Crafting Job System?

Realy liking how things are ramping up.

Here's to hoping that the crafting classes get specialized Job Classes as well. I realize they are technically a Job Class already so here's what I mean...

Alchemist + Blacksmith = Specialized Job (something catchy like Bomb Smith)

Goldsmith + Armorer = Specialized Job (Armor Smith)

Carpenter + Leatherworker = Specialized Job (Airship Engineer)

BTW, and Armorer IS an Armorsmith. But I get where you are coming from.

I understand Jobs for Disciple of Land & Hand Classes will not be a priority, but if the Development Team is successful with adding Jobs to the Disciples of War & Magic, I think it would be great if they eventually add any or all of the following crafter/gather Jobs.

Gadgeteer, Engineer, Cartographer, Shipwright, Surveyor, Spelunker, SHEPHERD, Architect, Painter, Quartermaster, etc.

Yeah, I could definatly see with more content having these extra Crafting/Gathering Jobs would be asesome.

Final Fantasy players like a good scrap as much as the next adventurer. But we're also gardeners, cooks, explorers, and chocobo breeders too. We like fighting AND we like doing other things. Having a game that potentially promises players the chance to reach levels of excellence and prestige in both combat AND non-combat professions is very appealing, and will continue to set FFXIV apart from its competition.

:D I think it would be great to unlock jobs via non combat classes.

i do not think they are chaning hand and lan classes since the new system is to have more deffinition. and the hand and lad classes are already defined.

I would like to see more advanced jobs in the Hand and Land disciplines. Maybe less of an individual endeavor, and more along the lines of party crafting, since the adv jobs are focusing on party roles and not solo play.

Needing a party of crafters working together could be intriguing, and, as I understand it, was explored in XI already? I quit XI before they implemented that system, but a refined version would probably be welcome in Eorzea.

If they do the same thing with Crafting classes that they are doing with Combat Classes we might see jobs like "Bonecrafter" for Goldsmith, popping up that gives you a bonus for working with animal parts. etc.

Yoshi-san has mentioned materia system in his last latter, so i don't thik that we will get job system for DoH/DoL.
