Seasonal events: Underwhelming?
So, I noticed seasonal events so far have been pretty underwhelming. I loved the city decorations but I feel like in terms of overall event creativity it was quiet a let down.
I think they need to invest more effort into seasonal events to make them more then what they are currently. Please reference Guild Wars 2 Seasonal events. They clearly got it right on all aspects. They had multiple events for each season where people got to play against each other and against npcs. For example: snow ball fights, jumping puzzles, and instances for Wintersday (I.E. insert your politically correct Christmas here.)
This Summer: We had a single fate event with mostly rehashed swimsuit skins.
Helloween: We got rehashed pumpkin heads and 2 ghost costumes (Technically, 1 ghost costume, with 2 faces)
Suggestions:
How about seasonal pets?
How about food that transforms you into things?
Add in stuff that we had in FF11 there was great ideas there.
Brain storm and get creative surely that thinktank at Square can come up with better then Teleport from NPC to NPC and quest site to quest site.
Event Dailies: Introduce something/things we can do once a day that is helloween related. Something to keep the event alive.
In my opinion --- Best idea: Make a daily instance where we fight a great Halloween Gourd and his minions using special Halloween skills.- then give us neat stuff... like event minon/more cloths/chance on fancy stuff like vials of fantasia or something.
This is the kind of quality I would expect from a Low end free to play game... even high end free to play games would have more skins then this you could buy lol.
I get the fact that obviously they had to remake the game but as a legacy player i'm starting to wonder if we are starting to justify second rate quality just because we have learned to victimize the 2.0 dev team.
