Achievements Fix

So I can say many people could care less about achievements or think they are pointless. Yet, are there not also people who could care less about pvp, or lore, or making gold, I could even say there are a good amount of people who don't care for duegons or questing, or anything pve related.

I'm here to make a suggestion for the people who love earning achievements. I would consider myself a hardcore achievement farmer in games and I set my goals high and try and earn every achievement possible in games. I love to earn achievements as much as a raider loves downing a final boss. Most games have fun creative achievements now a days, that I am sure plenty of people work really hard to earn these achievements because it is just a fun aspect of a game.

Now for my suggestions...

1. The achievements in game, lets face it, don't have much effort put into them. Putting aside the fact that pretty much all the achievements were copy/pasted from 1.0, they have no creativity. Like farming 20,000+ mining nodes, botany nodes, fish, or completling leves of all types times rediculous amounts. Or aquiring relics or lvling to 50. They all are rinse and repeat and all just take tons of time with little to no skill required for any of them. Then again do not get me wrong I do also enjoy the occasional super grindy achievement that might make me a year or 2. I have to make a bold suggestion and say a good amount of the achievements need to go and new ones need to come in, fun ones. I'll be more specific on what I personally think should be added in a bit.

2. Rewards System - I believe that a rewards system is essential and makes achievement farmers have a lot more fun. Even non-achievement farmers tend to like these rewards for completing achievements. If they are rewards like mounts or titles or companions or gear for appearance, these wouldn't obstruct the balance of the game and would be a nice bonus for people that work hard for their achievements and want to show them off. Also titles need to be displayed on people, like whats the point of having titles if no one can see them. And another thing rewards should be scaled appropriately, like getting your first lvl 50 class achievement should give a title, while getting all classes to lvl 50 achievement should give a really awesome mount.

3. The type of achievements that need to be added.
A. Luck based achievements - lets say there is a dungeon, and lets say the last boss had a mount or a piece of armor for looks alone, and this mount or item had like a 2-4% drop rate and if you happen to win this item u earn the achievement and have a cool new item to show off. Or another random idea is lets say with the fishing job there are 3 really rare fish in specific fishing zones and once you aquire all 3 you get an achievement and maybe u get a plack with a fish that you could hang in you player housing. I have to say Luck based achievements can be overdone though no one wants to go around trying to get 50 achievements where you have like a 1% chance of earning the item required for the achievement, that's where it just gets annoying. Maybe a handful of these like 10-20 like one or two in each tab.

B. Strategy based Achievements- Strategy based achievements are not only fun but usually require a group of people. For example dungeons where you have to kill a boss in a specific way, like dont let anyone get hit by any aoes on a specific boss or on a boss with adds the group has to kill 3 adds within 5 secs of each other to earn an achievement. There could be open world mobs or things you could be creative with.

C. Anything else- there are so many achievements that could be added to the game that wouldnt hurt the balance of the game and since you guys are the experts of the games im sure there are plenty of cool things out there u can throw fun achievements onto.

Another thing, there needs to be an achievement forum. If people don't know how to complete an achievement or if they want to know a good way of completing an achievement their is no place to look for help besides aimlessly searching the web.

I know that right now there are a ton of things you, Square Enix are doing right now to try and improve the game, but i think this is something that needs to be looked at because this is an aspect of games that I really love and im sure a good 5% of players are achievement farmers like me. I pretty sure that a even larger number of people would like receiving good rewards for completing achievements. If you could take these things into consideration it would be awesome.

P.S. I also wanted to say if anyone has any other idea please Post them here. If your an achievement farmer or like the idea of achievements with rewards don't disregard this post. This needs improvement cause as it stands now, whats the points of ffxiv arr achievements right now since there is no skill required at all to complete them. Also I know a lot of people think achievements are a waste of time and stupid, well you are entitled to your opinion but if you have the time to write on this thread, wouldnt that be a waste of time for yourself. If you do write a useless post then congrats on accomplishing absolutely nothing. and i know my grammer and spelling sucks im a terrible writer :D Thanks again everyone and Square Enix please consider my ideas or make some type of change to achievements
