Finding players half-way through a dungeon, help!

Hello everyone!

Long story short: My group wiped on the final boss in AK, so the healer and both DPS took off.

Ive been standing here in AK for 10m but I cant reque and I cant find new party members.

How does the Duty Finder work now? Am I just screwed? Do I just need to wait?

I've always been confused on it too because the active help says in DF you can request to add members, but I've never seen the option.

I just assume you have to wait until someone selects "join party in progress" in their DF screen.

When I go to select my dungeon in DF I have to manually check "party in progress" as an option if I want to fill in if someone leaves.
Most people don't check this. And when the window pops up for me, it says what bosses you cleared so if you're on 2/3 I may pass the party up if I wish.

Was your group entirely premade (shout group)? Right now there's no way to refill a group that was entirely premade. Otherwise yes you would have gotten a popup asking if you want to replenish. If anyone is on in your FC you could ask them. Odds are if they check the join in progress box they'll land in your party. Our FC leader was able to jump in and help a couple of members who had their tank drop out at Isgebind in Stone Vigil by doing that.

You can't refill your group if it was premade.

That said, I, a tank, with my relic and BC gear, always check the join party in progress box. Because in the event it does happen, it usually cuts the time of the dungeon a lot.

For example, I once joined an AK group that was on the last boss and the tank had ragequit for whatever reason. We one-shot the boss, and I got 80/40 tomes for not even 5 minutes of work and 1 minute of waiting in the queue.

Last night I ticked "join party in progress" for AK. I usually am scared of that option because of my past experiences.
1 Boss was down, the party was at the wall. Turns out all 3 or so members were new.
Demon wall died at the time the bees spawned, the tank did not had to tank them etc.
Following that, the tank could tank 2 trash group at a time, without any issue.

Conclusion:
- some times you get lucky.
