Linkshell Popularity?
Hi all,
I was just wondering how many people actually use linkshells, what they use them for etc. I never see linkshells advertising like I see FCs or similar.
I'd be keen to make a crafting linkshell and a FATE linkshell (to find groups, call when Odin/Behemoth spawn etc) but I question the effectiveness of this. Additionally, do people use this for purely social reasons? I'd love the idea of just having a linkshell to chat with people on in addition to ones supplementing a FC.
In short, how effective are linkshells on this server? What are they used for and how do they get advertised / get members? Is it something you'd like to see more of?
Thanks

In my opinion LinkShells are mostly used as a substitute for Alliance Chat in this game. As in multiple guilds that work together and pick few members here and there to raids/dungeons from another FC via the LS chat.

I use linkshells alot, they are like a closed door party. For example, I set up one just for people that I have fought with in dungeons and are deemed competent and player friendly, with the sole purpose of organising future dungeon runs.
It is quite useful if you have a lot of people that you don't want to just add friend list to or already in other FC.

Phoenix Nine is probably the most popular linkshell right now... Well from my experience anyways since it's the only LS I'm linked to, well that and Rare Fates.
Incase anyone is wondering..
Phoenix Nine: For LV 50s to find each other
Rare Fates: For Odin and Behemoth
