Ok, IDK if this is some newly added layer of security from SE's end, but if so, it is NOT the way to fix hack attempts/or stolen accounts. Lately, in the game, and I KNOW I am not the only one to experience this, FFXIV just DC's you and says authentication error.. and forces you to close game and log all the way back in. This is not the way to fix security vulnerabilities SE, you need to fix your system without it affecting players and their play time. This random auth error message and D/C is really annoying and ridiculous..!!

Happened to me twice yesterday. It actually crashed my system both times. Had to do a hard restart.
Second time it happened I was in a FATE and in the middle of Raising someone when I was suddenly kicked. I'm sure they were as annoyed as I was. -
