Questions before transferring!

Hello Sargatanas,

Me and 3 others from (NA)Lamia and another RL friend from Hyperion are trying to find a decent legacy server to move to. Mostly because our friend can move off of a legacy server.

Just wanted to see how the Economy and player base was for fresh 50's rolling into the mix.

And after poking around, this server seems like a good balance.

As Hyperion and Excalibur seem over crowded, Ragnarok is EU, and its a toss up between Sargatanas and Balmung...i like the Sargatanas more :cool:

Any input would be much appreciated!!

I was on Ridill till the transfers happened, and came to Sargatanas. So far the people i have done events with such as Hydra and other small things seem to be super nice and helpful. Be warned though from all the shouts i have seen in Revs toll a lot of groups shouting for relic+1 and full DL to do things like AK speed runs. Even a speed run doesnt need all that gear.
Anyway as many people have stated on this forum, you don't have to join those that are shouting for classes with those ridiculous requirements. I even saw a group shout for Garuda HM asking for exactly the same thing min requirements relic, full DL etc..
I just ignore those groups since i did join one of them once and 3 people were geared to the teeth, couldn't even avoid aoes in AK which was quite funny.
So not to scare you off lol, avoid those silly groups shouting with ridiculous requirements and apart from that should be golden.

There are some really great people on Sarg, and also some really bad ones, just like any other server. I just finished Chimera with a group of awesome people last night, so there are plenty of fresh 50's who are still working on their gear. I've been able to start gearing myself in DL using just the Duty Finder, so there's no need to join the silly Relic +1 requirement groups.

I was in the same boat. Just transferred over with some RL friends due to other friends unable to move from a Legacy to non-Legacy server. From what I've experienced thus far, there are people still working on their first 50 job, myself included. Although I reached 50 a while ago, I wanted to wait until my friends and I could complete content together.

As a non-legacy player who started on Sargatanas due to being roped in by friends who did play 1.x what I can add is that you might end up feeling a bit behind Gil wise. Loads of things sell dirt cheap apart from the top end crafted gear which can go for anywhere between 1-4 million Gil. So if you've got crafts to 50 and can craft Vanya etc you can probably make a pretty penny.
