Shocker

So just out of curiosity i looked up some videos of what the original game was like.

HOLY CRAP, the cutscenes were 10 times better and the graphics look 3 times better in the previous game.

BUT... the combat looks HORRIBLE.

The graphics weren't better.

The cutscenes are also about the same. 99% of them are just our character standing around like a doofus while everything else happens.

The textures were better, but the environment was very bland and heavy like 2 crysis altogether. You lost really nothing in the new version, only gained

It wasn't better, it was copy and paste, and man it was soooo GREEEEEN everywhere.

Yep graphic quality/texture resolution was a lot higher, graphic design however was inferior. Also needed a much more powerful pc to run smoothly.

That combat system you think looks horrible was just an unpolished diamond waiting to shine! I'm not trying to bash ARR but everything is a huge downgrade. :/

By 'the cutscenes' you mean 'the three cutscenes', right?

Well, i am not saying it was better. Just that from videos on youtube, it appears to look better graphically, and its cutscenes - and ive played through the entire 1-50 storyline in ARR - appear to have more charm, more soul and more 'feels' to them than what is in this iteration.

Yeah. The removal of animation lock was a HUGE downgrade. :rolleyes:
