Inventory Sorting {Can I have it?}
Square-Enix, it's this simple: FFXIV has been without proper inventory sorting for far too long. In fact, it never should have launched without it in the first place. This is a glaring, mind-boggling oversight—especially in a game with so many pages of inventory and crafting materials!
You need to add a sort function to retainers, inventories, and the armory chest that offers the option to sort things you already possess by at least the following choices:
item level, type (weapons, armor, medicine, food, crafting materials divided by discipline affiliation, etc.), spiritbond percentage, Disciple of War, Disciple of the Hand, Disciple of the Land.
I should be able to, at any time, shuffle my armory chest to put gear for my current job closer to the top of the list; and I should never have to wade through four pages of crafting materials to see how many HQ Aldgoat Leather I have left. Please fix this immediately. It's been an issue for long enough already.
EDIT: Also, it's annoying that when crafting, say, Iron Ingots, the game will only display the quantity of NQ ingots I possess in the lower-right corner. Why not show separate counters for both NQ and HQ materials? Currently, if I want to check how many HQs I've made I either need to open my inventory and hunt for the item, or move down the crafting log to the first item that uses iron ingots in order to see a HQ total. This is wrong; please fix it.
